How do "hold time" and "fade time" correlate to BPM drive mode?
Hey folks :) Quick question. When I create an effect using Step FX I can define how long every step "stays" and if it fades based on the values in "hold time" and "fade time". https://i.imgur.com/hocqiR2.png But how do these values work or what effect to they have when ...

Re: Map Fader Without Changing Current Scene
Hi Will, thanks so much for clarifiying! Now that makes total sense. I always stood under the impression that you can either operate in "Live" or in "Edit" mode. I wasn't aware of the fact that Live is just a way to overwrite what has been previously programmed. Actually- the bet...

Re: I have a question
Just as a heads up for the next time: "I have a question" probably isn't the best title for a post
I'm new here myself, but I'm pretty sure you'll get more people to click on your post if they see a title that roughly explains the issue already.
Have a nice day.

Re: DL5 API
Hey there! I'm a full stack webdev and would love to work on an OSC based client for Daslight 5. However, I don't really see any useful purpose for such an application. So I was wondering: Is there an application that you would consider useful? Hit me up with your suggestions! :) Also I'm wondering ...

So, you want to control an ArtNet controller with Daslight, am I getting that right?
As of now, that's not possible without a Daslight controller that is ArtNet enabled. The interface acts as a license dongle.

Re: dashlight without crash - MAC or PC ?
I can't help you out when it comes to reliability on Mac, but Daslight 5 works great on PC for me! In two years of using Dashlight, it only crashed once. Sure, not perfect, but very close.

Re: Map Fader Without Changing Current Scene
I have contacted Daslight support and they told me that this issue is known and there will be a fix in a future update
So let's wait and hope.
I'll post another reply once the Patch is published, just so that the thread is up to date.

Re: Map Fader Without Changing Current Scene
Well, yes, sure. But than my entire scene is useless. If you selecte LIVE instead EDIT, you will be able to change parameters without change the contents of the selected scene.

Re: Map Fader Without Changing Current Scene
Is there a way to escalate this to the Daslight Team? I can't be the only one who's facing this issue, right?
Scene-Unspecific fader mappings are crucial, at least in my opinion.

Re: Map Fader Without Changing Current Scene
And it just got worse ... When you map a fader to the dimmer for example, the mapping isn't specific to the currently selected fixtures. That means, that one and the same fader operates basically EVERY fixture , depending on what's currently selected in the selections window. Thats very bad! This ma...

Map Fader Without Changing Current Scene
Hey folks 👋 I have a quick question. Let's say I have some scenes which allow me to control movements, colors, gobos and so on for some beam lights. Something like this: https://i.imgur.com/aUUVuYx.png Now, I want to map the master dimmer of all those beams to a fader on my midi controller. That's d...
