File Cannot Be Converted

This comes up when I try to import a 3ds or that other one starting with d..... file, what's wrong?

You have to convert the 3ds files first.
Use the program conv3ds.exe in the "Daslight Virtual Controler 2\3D objects and textures" folder.

Thanks, but it said "The program can't start because d3drm.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I tried reinstalling but no luck

You must be using Windows Vista !!!!

d3drm.dll is for an older version of DirectX and is fore Direct3D Retained Mode. It wasnot included in Vista for some reason so some older programs do not work.

If you do a google search for d3drm.dll there are plenty of sites to get it from, then copy it it to your "Windows\System32" folder. Restart your PC then it should work.

The above is for 32bit version of Vista if you are using 64bit then you need to investigate what folder to put it in. I did see it on a website somewhere.

Cannot guarantee it will work though.

Hey, sorry for the late reply but I've got it. Now it seems to work but it opens for a couple of seconds then 'not responds'. every time :(
