Failed to create empty document

Post by djelton »

Hallo, habe DVC2 neu installiert.

In english:
I have installed DVC2 on a new PC. Everything seems to work fine, but only the Virtual 3D Simulator does not load. It always shows a message "Failed to create empty document". Maybe anyone has an idea whats going on there. (System: Windows XP with all updates and the newest drivers)

I think it is to do with a corrupt easy view file which is auto loaded at startup. Send me over your file so I can take a look.

To fix:
1. go to the root daslight directory, open up EasyView.ini with notepad
2.clear the text to the right of INISTAGEFILE (5th line down)
3. Easy view will now open the default stage. open your saved backup before the problem occurred

I have the same issue. I performed the above solution and I am still getting the error. I can not even open the demo file that comes with the program.

I had the visualizer come up once, but after that nothing...

I am running windows Vista

Please Help I am getting frustrated.

I do not have a show either. I tried to follow the tutorials and got the error so I deleted my show. Then tried to load the demo and got the same error. I have done some research on this and all the windows forums claim that the program is trying to access a file that already exists or is not accessible.. what file is this?

I have emptied all my temp directories.... no change.
I have deleted related entries from the registry.... no change
I have uninstalled the program, rebooted and reinstalled..... no change

I wish I knew what I can send to you... but I have nothing that I think I can send... let me know :) Pleeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This seems to be a problem with the latest release.

Download this:
http://www.daslight.com/download/Virtual3DSimulator.zip

Unzip and overwrite the exe in the Daslight directory. this should fix the problem.

You need to have a Gold or Gzm interface connected before opening the vizualiser to gain access to full mode.
