I am working with the DVC Gold in a fixed installation.
I wanted to use all outputs to mirror the same universe and use the interface as a 'splitter'. The problem is, the interface only outputs to two ports (of four) since I only have 1024 live channels licensed. The support told me to buy the additional XLR ports for 100€ each.
Since the ports are already buildt in, it would be great to use them. In my case it is not viable to pay 200€ only to use two additional ports while I dont need more channels. So I will buy an external DMX-Splitter, increasing e-waste and handling unessecary equipment. I'd like to see this addressed, maybe even in a payed form (20€ per additional port would be fine for me).
aIn conclusion I think the current form is wastet potential and doesn't support an eco-concious standpoint.
I hope to reach the right people with this post, even more so because the limitation seems more on the software-side.
Kind regards
Dennis
